DC Sport Physiotherapy Clinic boasts a team of highly qualified physiotherapists who are certified in advanced techniques such as the McKenzie Diagnostic Technique (MDT) and have extensive training in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Our team also includes a chiropractor with over 30 years of experience, who provides exceptional chiropractic care and custom-made orthotics.

About the role:

We are looking for a Registered Physiotherapist or Physiotherapy Resident to join our team of Professionals. As a physiotherapist at our clinic, you'll play a vital role in providing essential care to people across various life stages. We understand that health is a multifaceted and evolving field, and we welcome individuals of all ages and experience levels to join our team. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting your journey, we're here to guide and support your growth. We offer mentorship for orthopedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. We offer competitive compensation as a contractor worker and can help you make up to $30,000 - $50,000 per year. Let us show you how.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand a patient's medical history, condition, and physical limitations
• Formulate a diagnosis based on the assessment findings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to determine the best treatment plan
• Completes prescription of appropriate therapeutic programs and provides verbal instruction and written guidelines to caregivers
• Educates patients on treatment plans and ensure their understanding
• Deliver treatment plans that are clear and specific for patients with manual therapy, education, and exercises
• Ensure safety of patients at all times
• Responds to inquiries and resolves concerns, as appropriate
• Complete clinical notes in a detailed and clear manner by the end of the work day
• Complete discharge planning and regular followup appointments for each patient

Requirements :

• Must be a fully licensed physiotherapist to practice in Ontario or physiotherapy resident in Ontario
• Canadian experience preferred
• GLA:D training is preferred but not mandatory
• Previous experience working with osteoarthritis, post hip and knee, and musculoskeletal patients is preferred. (Pelvic floor physiotherapy skills preferred)
• Manual therapy skills and acupuncture skills preferred
• English and Cantonese, or Mandarin is mandatory
• Access to a vehicle and openness to do home visits
• Experience with a physiotherapy assistant preferred
• Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and to function in an independent, self-directed manner
• Computer proficiency required
• Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
